“We can’t all be heroes. Some of us have to stand by the curb and clap as they go by.” Will Rogers
Honor Flight Grand Strand/Myrtle Beach is a local chapter of the Honor Flight Network. Our volunteers are dedicated to honoring local WWII Veterans who fly free of charge to Washington, DC. They tour the WWII Memorial built in their honor, Arlington National Cemetery and other historic landmarks. A hero’s welcome home will await their return to Myrtle Beach.
Our third Honor Flight from Myrtle Beach was on October 26, 2011.
Watch WPDE TV Honor Flight video produced by Aaron Varnam and aired November 10, 2011 in honor of Veterans Day.
Time is of the essence to honor our surviving WWII Veterans. We lose nearly 1,000 every day! The cost of each Honor Flight is nearly $60,000. We rely solely on corporate, guardian and individual donations. As a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization, your donation is tax deductible. We need your help.
